Vintage Steel Mill Steam Whistle from Monessen, PA - Large and Rare! A beaut!
Please see fotos. My father was a bit of a collector. It is made by Lunkenheimer of Cincinatti, OH and titled in their catalog as an "Improved Fire Alarm Whistle". The bronze cylinder is 7.5" in diameter. There are no cracks or welds on the cast iron valve section. the overall height is app. 4'. The brass cylinder is app. 23" tall.
